TAIZÉ HOSPITALITY REFLECTION
This past Taizé gathering was centered around hospitality, and Emily Bartlett shared an interactive reflection on that topic. On display was an art piece of a human figure and below that were a number of different anatomical drawings of body parts. This was meant to cause us to reflect on the need we all have for these separate parts to work in concert in order to live and function. So many times we fight and divide, especially in this political climate, and the ultimate act of hospitality is to bridge the divide and offer forgiveness and reconciliation. This forgiveness can be offered to ourselves as we wrestle with our own brokenness as well as be offered to others as we seek to repair broken friendships. Where do you need to offer hospitality to yourself this week? Who in your life needs to be offered hospitality?
