GIVING TO THE OPEN TABLE
The Open Table has been around for 1 1/2 years now, and we are loving how this community is changing how we do church. Through social justice forums, warm meals, service projects, thoughtful conversations and progressive Christian teaching, we are forging a new path for how Christianity can look in the 21st century. Help us build on the momentum of the first 1 1/2 years by supporting us through financial giving and volunteering.
WHEN YOU GIVE
It is important to know how your giving contributes to the life of this community both inside and outside of our gatherings.
When you give, you help feed people who might not otherwise get a meal, or who might be excluded from other meals because of their status, race, religion, sexual orientation or age.
When you give, you help build community in Kansas City by bringing people together from many different backgrounds over dinner, music, and conversations that matter.
When you give, you help renew the church. The Open Table seeks to form a new generation of Jesus followers who take ancient church practices into today’s world as a people of peace and reconciliation.
We are a young community currently funded by a number of grants, and in order for us to continue well into the future we will need your support! Below is a breakdown of how The Open Table spends its money and time.
THREE WAYS TO GIVE
1. Give financially. It takes money for The Open Table to exist. The shared meals, facilitators and service projects are all wonderful pieces that make The Open Table unique. You can contribute a recurring or one-time gift here.
2. Get involved. From bringing a dish to helping beautify our spaces, there are plenty of ways to participate in our community.
3. Come again. If you are new to this community, thanks for coming. We’d love for you to keep participating because your perspective is valuable and needed.
