Defensiveness & Racism

  • The Open Table KC 318 East 55th Street Kansas City, MO, 64113 United States (map)

Our conversation with An Antiracist Spirituality series continues as we explore the ways white supremacy manifests in our defensiveness and fear of open conflict. Disembodiment of the self, including the parts of ourselves we may not like, does not lead us towards growth in asking the deeper questions behind our reactions. How might we hold space for tension while simultaneously digging into the parts of ourselves we’re trying to protect? We must be willing to recognize that love and justice is found on the other side of our fears. Join us for a conversation with Angela Martellaro and Megan Black on Sunday, 7/12 from 6-7:30pm CT. Tune in via Zoom or Facebook LIVE!
