Standing with Immigrants: IJAM

September 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Our current political climate has become a breeding grounds of fear and hate towards immigrants and refugees. Today, we are witnessing one of the biggest humanitarian crises happening at our border, due to a political narrative that feeds a false sense of security to our nation. In the face of xenophobia, we must ask ourselves if our country’s history ever reflected a welcoming spirit to our immigrant neighbors.

Join us for the second installment of a two-part series as we hear from local organization, IJAM. Through a theological lens, we will be exploring the history of US immigration, what’s happening now, and ways to effectively disrupt and respond to the injustice. We will be having a salad bar for dinner, so bring a complementary dish to share!
