Sorry to Bother You

March 30 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

$15

Join The Open Table as we support Stand Up KC fast food and low wage workers through a special night of culture and movement building with special guest, writer and director, Boots Riley as we host a community screening of his film, “Sorry to Bother You.”

Following the film, Terrence Wise, McDonald’s and Stand Up KC leader will host a conversation with Boots and take audience questions. Recently Terrence gave testimony to the US House Education and Labor Committee for a $15 federal minimum wage.

Released in 2018, “Sorry to Bother You” is one America’s most original and significant films of the 21st century. The film’s presentation of race, class, and a radical economic analysis put the film in a category of its own.

Join Boots, fast food, low wage workers, and allies at 5:00pm for a rally for $15 and a union! Mobilize on the 30th at 4:30pm at Gtove Park, East Truman Rd. and Benton Blvd, KCMO 64127. March at 5:00pm!

Doors open at 6:00pm and film starts at 7:00pm. Seating is first come first serve: please arrive early.

Reserve your spot today by filling out the form below and making a $15 donation to Stand Up KC.
