Native Ecology & the Sacred Feminine
October 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Instead of an ecology of domination and subjugation, Native worldviews point us towards an ecology of interconnectedness. Join us as we welcome Alex Kimball Williams, multicultural musician, writer, teacher, scientist, and a graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University, as they facilitate a discussion on how ecology and the sacred feminine are connected. We will have a baked potato bar for dinner, so bring a complementary side dish or topping to share if you have the means to do so. The Open Table is a dinner church community hosting meals, conversations, and antiracism training in Kansas City, and you are welcome at our table.
“[Humanity] has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.” – Chief Seattle
